thank heaven for little girls

The girls got to kick it with their cousin, Amalani a lot this month.  I love seeing them together.  These name shirts are from Grandma Ann - so cute!

Baby Tali is so loved.  She has awesome big sisters.  With Malia and Kina, the sisterly affection is pretty inconsistent - sometimes they love each other, sometimes they hate each other.  But when it comes to Tali - they ALWAYS love her.  Really. No matter what.

In Tongan culture it's a good thing for babies to be fat, so many Tongans (Wayne's mom included) give Tali compliments by calling her "feti" (or Fatty in English).  This was fine until the older girls started calling each other "fatty".  When Grandma Vai told them it wasn't a nice word to say to people, little Vai said, "But that's what you call Tali" Sooo, lately, we've just been calling her "chubby" - it sounds a little less harsh, I think. :)

The other day I walked into the playroom and saw this.  Kina told me her baby was hungry.

It's been snowing lately and the girls have loved playing in it.  One day they were out for over an hour and I started worrying if they were getting too cold.  When they finally came in, Malia ripped off her gloves and said, "Whew! My hands are sweaty, Mommy!"  I love good snow gear! Thanks Gramma Peggy!

Last Sunday was the first Sunday in a long time that Wayne had to work.  He left the house at 6 am and I was on my own.  I got the girls up, fed, dressed (WITH TIGHTS!), hair coiffed and out the door all by myself . . . and we were ONLY a half hour late to church.  I was very proud of myself. :)

I love being a mom to my three little girls.
