Wayne and I were at my parents house for Sunday dinner and Malia was going up and down the two flights of stairs with my dad following behind (she's just learned the "down" technique as well). Soon, my dad came up and announced she was "ready to start walking". He brought her up where everyone could see and my mom stood about 4 feet from her with her arms outstretched. Then, giggling and smiling, Malia walked from my dad to my mom. I was so proud!!
DA-DA
And while I'm documenting "firsts" I should also say Malia has been saying "dada" for a while now. Even though she says it in a string like, "da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da" it still counts as "dada" right? :)
We're so proud of our little girl. She's growing up so fast!

First steps! . . . that is SOOO fun! Your blog is so cute . . . I read your flight story and I feel all your pain--I think I have mentally blocked all memories of my flight experiences with kids. Just too tramatic!
Happy Summer!
