happy halloween!

Halloween was fun! It was a BEAUTIFUL fall day. First, we went down to Center Street to trick-or-treat. I went with the girls and my mom and David and Shan met us there with Maddox. All the stores give out candy and it's a safe and fast way to get a lot of candy and be outside.

We were 4 adults with 3 strollers - Malia was a cat, Kina was a dog, I was a candy corn, David was a chalkboard eraser, Shan was a white marshmallow and Maddox was a gray rock.

After Center Street, we headed to University Mall to do some more of what I like to call controlled- environment-trick-or-treating. Malia had to do a quick costume change on the way because her mom had a brain freeze and let her eat like, 5 lollipops thus making her and her cat costume sticky beyond repair. Oh well.

Her new costume was umm. . . an ice skater. . . or a dancing with the stars contestent. . . or a cave girl that was into disco. I don't know. I just found it at D.I. for $3 and thought it could be SOMETHING.

Melba, Kina, Nia and Lionel came with us to the mall and we met up with Danny, Vika and Bubba. We tried to take a picture of the kiddies, but Malia is afraid of tigers so it didn't turn out.

It was fun to walk around and see everyone who dressed up. I gotta say, some of the parents' went more all out than the kids with the whole costume thing. I guess if you got no where else to go, the mall is as good of a place as any to strut your stuff. We were also able to multi-task and get a little shopping done on the side. Now, THATS what I call a happy halloween.:)

Looove how Malia's costume is open to interpretation! Haha and love the marshmallow & candy corn ideas! haha
My Halloween was so junk! It consisted of 3 groups of kids knocking on my door (um, one group at 10AM! Who DOES that?!) and holding out buckets...no "trick or treat," no costume...so guess what? No candy :D No, for real- a lady told us they don't do that here, especially in my area cuz get choke Muslims! But eh, I didn't even feel bad cuz they didn't dress up or say the magic words!

From the looks of it, Malik was a pretty scary tiger, lol. Cute!

I had NO idea that they do trick-or-treating down center street or at the mall!! I wish so badly that I had known so I could have taken my kids...
