happy birthday elise!

Saturday was Elise's BIRTHDAY PARTY. . . err, or "PLAYDATE/LUNCH" as her mother referred to it. All the girls were supposed to wear tutus and the boys their favorite super hero costumes. All us parents just sat back and watched the kids amuse themselves for a couple hours. It was the most chill and relaxing kid birthday party I've ever been to! VERY fun!!!

The colorful balloon decorations were pretty AND a lot of fun to play with afterward.

This table was the highlight of the party! It was full of crowns, earrings, necklaces, bracelets and combs for the girls to play with. There was a big mirror so they could see themselves. Any of you who know Malia know that she is VERY picky about what goes on her body. . . jewelry is NOT one of the things she will normally put on. Her dislikes and qualms were forgotten, however, when she saw the table. She was in HEAVEN. I've never seen her be so GIRLY!

The girls had the jewelry table. . . the boys had the tent. It was a big hit for everyone.

Who would have guessed BUBBLES would be such a hit? I felt sorry for the designated bubble blowers - they didn't know what they got themselves into and were blowing for a looooong time.

The biggest hit for Malia was DEFINITELY the CUPCAKES. It was her very first cupcake with frosting ever and she made the most of her experience. She jammed the whole thing into her mouth and then chewed slowly while she held it tightly to her face. With her free hand she grabbed sprinkles one by one and tried to wedge them into her already full-to-overflowing mouth. The other kids and parents just stared. It was HILARIOUS . . . and a little embarrassing for mommy. lol

Happy Birthday ELiSe!

Read Mary and Wayne's blog - check. See being away from the blog world has some serious consequences. I have been spending the last 2 hours catching up on blogs...and at the same time realizing that everyone has much more fun and interesting lives than mine...sigh. However, I'll only get jealous if anyone has a more psycho-crazy life...hee,hee!

Looks like it was so much fun. I'm sorry we missed it, but at the same time, it looks like poor Spencer would've been greatly outnumbered. Hahaha
