it's a reading rainbow

Since Malia was a like, 6 months old, I've read to her every day before bed. Since her first birthday she has been making weekly visits to the library with her Grandma Vai to attend storytime and check out library books. Still, you're never completely positive that your child has actually learned something until she can demonstrate it on her own with no prompting. This morning I put Kina on Malia's bed and left to do laundry. I came back to this. . .

A few thoughts in my head - I need to make the cardboard paged books more readily available, I wonder if Kina was enjoying herself and lastly, I guess she's been paying at least a little attention:)

You are such a great mother!! Thanks for posting...finally. I'm here at work, it's 4am, and there's nothing much going on. Just wanted to let you know that reading your blog is making the time go by a little faster and keeping me awake!

You guys do so many fun things. I'm really quite impressed with Kalo and her Valentine's dinner for the widows/ers. Actually, all of you always impress me. So kind and giving and talented up the ying yang!! Love it! Love you guys!

your kids are so cute and you're such a great mom! I need to start getting on top of things while he's young and while we only have one. seeing your girls makes me look forward to my kids being so close together. and the only reason I teased my brother about his girls being close together is because he ALWAYS complains about how hard it is...and I would always say that would never be me! yet...here we are...and karma has gotten the better of me. hahaha I'm looking more forward to it as time goes by...I MISS YOU GUYS! haven't seen you forever! we should get together.
