wayne's christmas piano recital

Today was the recital for Wayne's piano students.  It's a big deal for us.  He has only two a year - one in the Summer and one at Christmastime. We had it at UVU (thanks to Pres. Holland whose kids take from Wayne) and it was a TOTAL success.  A few families weren't able to make it, but the kids that were there played wonderful.  At the end, Wayne gave awards to each student and asked Travis Uale and my brother, Michael, to come and hand them out.  The kids (and their parents) loved it.  Each student got a lei (made by moi and Miss Kika - 20 leis in 30 minutes!! haha THANK YOU KIKA!) and many got pictures with their BYU Cougar heroes afterward.  I think it was such a cute idea. It made the recital very fun and very memorable.  One dad told me, "You know, we've had a weekend full of fun Christmas parties. THIS was by far the coolest event yet."

I'm so proud of Wayne for being such a good teacher.  It's not an easy job and he really works hard to be the best he can be.  I'm so grateful for his talent and the opportunity he has to teach.  I'm so grateful for these awesome families that have come into our lives because of Wayne's piano studio.  It's a huge blessing for our family.  Great job Wayne!
