try try again

Kina in a Pull-up . . . and heels
A few months ago I wrote a post about potty-training Kina.  I knew it was a little early, but I felt she was ready so we started.  She had a great first few days wearing only panties, but soon started to have accidents every now and then.  I got tired of cleaning up her accidents around the house, so I bought a box of Pull-ups so she could wear them and be protected but still be able to use the potty when she needed to go.  Pull-ups are more expensive than diapers (and there's no generic brand), but I thought of it as a small tool to help with the short transition since she was having a little trouble.  Well, yesterday (pictured above) she wore her last Pull-up diaper from the THIRD box I've bought.

I think we'll take a break and try potty-training again in a couple months.
For now, we're back to good 'ol CHEAP regular diapers.

We just made the same decision with our two year old! She seemed ready, she came to me saying she wanted to do it, but in the last two weeks she hasn't gone potty once. No more pull ups for a while!

hahahaha! i think i bought a couple of boxes of pull-ups before returning to diapers, too. they're so expensive! and i also think you're making a good choice with taking a break from potty training. in a couple of months both you and kina will be refreshed for starting it up again. :)

Mary, at least Kina is still young, Malik is still in diapers and he will be 3 next week. Same thing happened to us. We were closer few months ago and then now he's back to diapers...OH well, you aren't alone with potty train :) Love the hair and pink heels!

I tried the plastic underwear coverings you can put over panties or underwear during potty trained, and it worked! yah, pull ups are waaay expensive and yup, cheap regular diapers are good for training too :-)
